Meet Mosaic Beauty Studios: Private Salon Suites Coming to Amarillo

By now you may have heard, something new is coming to Civic Circle. Mosaic Beauty Studios is a building of private salon suites in southwest Amarillo, opening Fall 2027. It’s right across the street from Mosaic Beauty + Boutique.

First, the most important part for our clients. Mosaic Beauty + Boutique isn’t going anywhere. Same salon, same team, same chairs you know. Mosaic Beauty Studios is a separate business in a separate building.

Where the name comes from

If you’ve been with us a long time, the name may sound familiar. When Mosaic first opened its doors, it was a five-chair salon called Mosaic Beauty Studios. We think of that as Mosaic 1.0.

Mosaic 2.0 is the salon you know today, with 12 stylists, a bridal team, a boutique, and an education platform.

Mosaic 3.0 brings the original name back for something new.

What Mosaic Beauty Studios is

Mosaic Beauty Studios is a suite rental building for independent beauty and wellness professionals. Each professional leases their own private, lockable suite. They run their own business inside it, with their own name on the door.

The building will include:

• Private studios for solo professionals
• Collaborative suites for two or three professionals who share a space
• Micro-salons for small teams, the first of their kind in Amarillo
• Two flagship suites, the largest private salons in the building
• Specialty spaces for pedicures, spray tans, bridal prep, and podcasting

Shared spaces include restrooms, client seating areas, a laundry room, and a break room.

The suites are open to all licensed beauty and wellness professionals. That includes hair stylists, barbers, estheticians, nail techs, massage therapists, lash and brow artists, and more.

The building

Mosaic Beauty Studios is at 2724 Civic Circle. Many of you know it as The Scarlet Door, a salon and day spa that served Amarillo for more than 20 years.

The building was built in 1961, and it’s getting a full renovation. The colonial front, the columns, and the gazebo and fountain in the entry are staying. Those details are part of this building’s history, and we want to carry that forward.

What it means for you as a client

You may soon find some of your favorite local professionals working out of Mosaic Beauty Studios. A tenant directory in the lobby and on our website will make it easy to find who you’re looking for.
