I love the idea of women through history being “misunderstood.” I speak to women all day long, and it seems to me that the most painful thing in our lives is to feel misunderstood. We have this innate sense that to be truly loved, we need to be KNOWN. And personally, I find that so many people seek to deliberately misunderstand me. It’s like they’re doing it on purpose! All of this to say, it feels nice to not be alone in that struggle and to know it has been going on for centuries. And with women far more influential than me, too.

I’m not sure if this is even something you need to hear, but I feel like most women I know crave being understood and seen. I want you to know that I see you. I see you making your own path. Doing what is hard and different and unexpected. Trying to live a life that feels pure and true. I pray that the universe is being good to you and that the beauty you’re showing us all on Instagram is seeping into your soul and bringing you warmth and love.

I imagine sometimes this path may be lonely and painful, but so is living a life that doesn’t align with who you are at your core. To me, the goal is to reconnect with who you’ve always been and I’m so proud of you for not losing yourself. Thank you for bringing us along with you and reminding us that there is so much beauty in the world.

“The women who really change the game are always the women that no one knows what to do with initially.” Cate Blanchett said it best, didn’t she? We’re the ones who push boundaries, who challenge the norms, and who ultimately make a difference.

So, here’s to us – the misunderstood, the trailblazers, the women who dare to be different. Keep shining, keep striving, and know that you are seen and loved just as you are. 💖
